Job Overview

MES Automation Layer Electrical Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our MES Automation Layer and other critical automation systems.

About The Role

This position involves providing technical support for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, drives, and advanced instrumentation. Troubleshooting breakdowns and investigating root causes will drive long-term reliability improvements. Collaboration with production, maintenance, and process teams will optimize control and tracking systems.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of maintenance strategies and manage critical spares and system documentation. They will bring a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or a related field) is required.
  • Experience working with industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA) is necessary.
  • Safety as a core value is essential, with understanding of legislative safety requirements.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with MES systems, process automation, or data-driven technologies is desirable.
