Role Overview

As a Risk Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our capabilities and establishing an industry-leading position. You will be part of a high-performing team that operates across a wide variety of markets, providing innovative risk solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform and participate in risk assessments such as Safety in Design, HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, QRA, for the Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Water, Power Generation and Transmission, Government, Transport and Petrochemical sectors.
  2. Perform technical risk modelling using various Risk and Consequence software under the direction of our senior advisors and executive advisors.
  3. Manage projects and ensure that they are completed within the budget and contractual obligations.
  4. Promote relationships with existing and potential clients, increasing business by improving client relationships and encouraging repeat business through exceptional client service.
  5. Prepare concise, accurate and focused written analysis, recommendations and presentations under the direction of the team's executive advisors.

Requirements

  1. Degree qualification in Engineering or Science related to process safety (Chemical, Mechanical preferred) or similar discipline is highly regarded but not essential.
  2. 2 to 6 years industry experience in a recognized consulting, chemical processing, heavy industry, corporate or regulatory environment.
  3. Experience working in a risk, audit, governance or compliance position.
  4. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong project management skills.
