About the Role

In today's rapidly changing market landscape, organisations need to continually adapt and evolve. As a Risk Advisory Services professional with BDO Australia, you will play a key role in delivering a range of internal audits, management reviews, and risk advisory services to clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Risk Consultants to work on diverse projects, develop their skills, and interact with senior leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver internal audits, business risk assurance, and business process improvement projects in accordance with BDO methodologies and procedures;
  • Recommend policy, procedural, process, system, and control improvements where identified;
  • Assist in preparing proposals/scoping documents, reports for projects undertaken, and contribute to the development of new methodologies and service offerings;
  • Collaborate with Partners and senior management to assist with scheduling work across the practice and contribute to the development of junior staff;
  • Maintain client relationships and work with Partners to create future business opportunities;
About You

We're seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in Risk Consulting or Governance-related roles who are passionate about delivering exceptional results and contributing to a dynamic team.

Suitable candidates must be based in Melbourne and possess:

  • Experience in internal audit or related risk management roles;
  • An accounting or business-related degree and any relevant certifications or qualifications;
  • A working knowledge and understanding of basic internal audit and risk management practices and standards (IIA and ISO 31000);
  • Knowledge and experience in undertaking internal audits, risk assessments, risk management framework reviews, etc.;
  • Experience in internal auditing of basic financial processes and controls as well as internal auditing of operational processes;
  • Exposure to Enterprise Resource Management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TechOne, etc.).
