The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the basketball program, including developing players and coaches, promoting the school's basketball initiatives, and managing fixtures, training, budgets, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate basketball programs across the school, developing players and coaches
- Promote the school's basketball initiatives and manage fixtures, training, budgets, and communication
- Develop and implement long-term development strategies for players and coaches
- Manage relationships with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders
- Coordinate basketball programs, including planning training schedules, fixtures, tournaments, and camps
Selection Criteria
- High Performance Basketball Coaching Experience: A minimum of five years of high performance basketball coaching experience, including expertise in developing players across various skill levels, with a focus on school or representative-level basketball.
- Coaching Accreditation and Compliance: Hold current coaching accreditation and a valid Positive Notice (Blue Card).
- Leadership and Player Development: Ability to motivate, lead, and inspire players and coaching staff, with a focus on building cohesive teams and developing leadership qualities in players.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Advanced communication and negotiation skills, including experience in managing relationships with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Program Coordination and Administration: Experience in coordinating basketball programs, including planning training schedules, fixtures, tournaments, and camps, with a focus on managing multiple tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
- Technology and Administrative Capabilities: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant systems, with experience in using technology to streamline program administration and communicate with stakeholders.
