Rackley Swimming Toowomba

City Venue Management are seeking a Head Coach to establish a squad program at the Milne Bay Aquatic Centre, in Toowoomba. This is an exciting opportunity to build a program and development pathway from the ground up.

The Milne Bay facility has an 8 lane 50-metre pool and a 6 lane indoor 25-metre pool. The Squad program historically has been a strong program, with swimmers transitioning to squad training from swimming lessons and through to Age National competitive swimmers. With an onsite learn to swim program, and several schools in the area, we are looking for a National Age Coach who has the experience and drive to grow a holistic program, catering to swimmers of all ages and abilities.

**Key responsibilities;**
- Managing and growing the Squad Program at the centre, inclusive of program design, staffing and budget.
- Development and oversight of training programs for swimmers from junior to state/national level squads.
- Working closely with the Swim School team to encourage skill development of swimmers and teachers and progression of swimmers to Squad training.
- Forming relationships with the community, parents, and children within the centre.
- Encouraging swimmers to join swim club, attend club nights and to compete in Brisbane, State, and National level Competitions.
- Attending Local, State & National meets.
- Working closely and collaborating with head coaches from our other aquatic centres with Squad programs and the management team across The Rackley Swimming Group.

**About you;**

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can build and balance the multifaceted nature of the role. Key traits and experience are seeking include:

- Interest and experience in Coaching at all levels
- Experience with developing pool based swimming programs and athlete development pathways.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with swimmers and stakeholders, ensuring the best possible outcome for all.
- Demonstrated ability in building a successful and sustainable program working closely with centre management and Swim School Leaders.
- Management skills including budgets, staff development and management.
- Leadership and collaboration skills, willingness to engage and mentor junior coaches
- Strong communication, problem solving and commercial skills.

**The qualifications required for this role are;**
- Coaching accreditation - Advanced (Silver) or Higher desirable
- S&C - Lv1 Strength & Conditioning desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in movement, science of the sport would be desirable
- Current Working with Children Check
- Lifeguard Qualification
