Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking a Head of Basketball and First Coach to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the basketball program within the School, along with Head Coach responsibilities.

**About the Position**
Key responsibilities include coordinating basketball programs across the School, developing players and coaches, promoting the School’s basketball initiatives, and managing fixtures, training, budgets, and communication. A significant focus is placed on community engagement, player development, and providing pathways for talented students, with additional duties as First Head Coach.
**Selection Criteria**:
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:
- **High Performance Basketball Coaching Experience**: Demonstrate a minimum of five years of high performance basketball coaching experience, including expertise in developing players across various skill levels, with a focus on school or representative-level basketball. Provide examples of how you have led successful teams, developed player talent, and implemented long-term development strategies.
- **Coaching Accreditation and Compliance**: Hold current coaching accreditation and a valid Positive Notice (Blue Card). Explain how your qualifications and experience adhere to Queensland's compliance requirements, and how these ensure safe and professional environments for students and players.
- **Leadership and Player Development**: Provide examples of your ability to motivate, lead, and inspire players and coaching staff. Highlight your approach to building cohesive teams, developing leadership qualities in players, and offering advanced skills development across different age groups.
- **Communication and Stakeholder Engagement**: Demonstrate advanced communication and negotiation skills, including experience in managing relationships with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders (e.g., local clubs, sporting associations).
- **Program Coordination and Administration**: Detail your experience in coordinating basketball programs, including planning training schedules, fixtures, tournaments, and camps. Provide examples of managing multiple tasks, including budget oversight, facilities management, and liaising with referees, coaches, and associations to ensure smooth operations.
- **Technology and Administrative Capabilities**: Demonstrate your proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant systems (e.g., TASS). Provide examples of how you have used technology to streamline program administration, communicate with stakeholders, and maintain high accuracy in reporting and scheduling.
