Warehouse Supervisor Job Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is a key role in our organization, responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse and driving continuous improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and asset maintenance operations to ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse activities
  • Manage picking and dispatch operations to meet or exceed dispatch time targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Negotiate agreements with logistics suppliers and transport companies to manage local freight arrangements
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, purchasing, and management teams to achieve continuous improvement objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in warehousing and supervision, with a track record of improving operational efficiency
  • Able to research, develop, and implement process and system improvement initiatives that drive business outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and coordinate competing priorities
  • Flexible and positive attitude, with excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Licence to drive a light vehicle (LF) and heavy vehicle articulated trailer combination (WA)
  • Understanding of lean principles beneficial but not necessary
