The purpose of this role is to lead the Forklift Operator Team. It entails guiding and supporting the loading and unloading of trailers and containers and prioritising freight to achieve maximum utilisation and profitability.
- Load and unload of trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagons
- Sort and check freight against customer delivery paperwork
- Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
- Palletise and pack loads.
- Handle general and non standard freight
- Participating in and ensuring the Forklift Team perform in line with WHS legislation and regulations
- Management of Staff and the allocation of duties and responsibilities

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Current LF High Risk Work license.
- Experience operating a Forklift in a transport environment.
- Moving freight in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility.
- Ability to lead a group of Forklift Operators.
- Applicants with HC licence or express an interest to obtain a HC licence would be advantageous
