High-quality food and exceptional dining experiences require a highly skilled and organized Sous Chef. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and maintain consistent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Head Chef to manage staff training and development.
- Implement effective Food Safety Plans to ensure compliance.
- Prepare menu items according to cooking guidelines and set standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and implement menus that meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage staff effectively under pressure.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Current Food Handlers Certificate.
- Previous experience in fast-paced pub/bistro environments.
- Proven expertise in all kitchen areas with hands-on experience.
- Strong communication skills for clear instructions and feedback.
- Ability to adapt to varying shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
