Procurement Specialist Role

A prime opportunity exists to join our organisation in a Procurement Specialist position. The role focuses on procuring and managing product ranges within the Baby/Kids and Beauty categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source both local and international brands to build a market-leading product range for assigned categories.
  • Execute new procurement opportunities by sourcing local brands and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal prices, ensuring competitive pricing strategies are implemented.
  • Purchase world-class brands as well as private-label products to meet customer expectations.
  • Strategically manage and grow assigned product categories.
  • Conduct thorough competitor research to identify market trends and optimise product offerings.
  • Manage product range selection, stock, and aged inventory to achieve performance targets.
  • Analyse data to make informed purchasing and import decisions.
  • Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure product content is optimised for search engines and the website to enhance customer discoverability.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • E-commerce experience is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets are essential.
  • Experience with tools like Google Analytics would be advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are necessary to secure optimal deals.
  • Passion for procurement and sourcing is crucial.
  • A University Degree is required for this position.
