Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator

This role is key in creating a safer and more energized workplace. You will contribute to the development of health, safety and environment risk management programs.

  • Assist in continual improvement of HSE performance metrics.
  • Provide risk assessments with practical guidance on risk reduction and evaluate business risk plans for effective management.
  • Support implementation of HSE Plans and compliance requirements across all levels of the business.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HSE procedures in line with policies and the SafetyCARE system.
  • Assist managers to implement HSE Management System procedures at retail sites.
  • Encourage prompt reporting of hazards and incidents and participate in investigations.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of best practice in health, safety and environment and relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice.

You should have awareness of self-insurance or ISO 45001 accredited safety management systems.

Additional skills include:

  • Able to prepare, investigate and present accurate reports.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Tertiary degree with health, safety and/or environmental competencies or working towards obtaining.
  • Good level of interpersonal and communication skills.
