Life Insurance Lawyer

Zurich is seeking a highly skilled Life Insurance Lawyer to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our in-house legal team, you will provide expert advice on life insurance law, regulatory matters, and governance to support the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-house legal, regulatory, and governance advice to Zurich's businesses in Australia, with a focus on the life insurance business.
- Use your knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act, and Life Insurance Act, to provide advice on life insurance products, policy documents, and agreements.
- Assist with regulatory dealings and investigations, and review disclose material and evaluate litigation risks and exposures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
- Recognized Australian legal qualifications and eligibility to practice law in New South Wales.
- 5+ years of PQE experience in life insurance law, financial services law, and general and commercial law disciplines.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to receive instructions, assess issues, and provide clear and concise advice.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trustful relationships at all levels of the organization.
