Mine Planning and Closure Specialist

As a Mine Planning and Closure Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of mining by leveraging your expertise to guide the development of design surfaces, schedules, and costs for life of mine, tailings, and closure plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage your technical skills to drive project success by overseeing budget, scope, and schedule while facilitating workshops and conducting risk assessments and analyses with various stakeholders and external project support.
  • Develop and lead proposals outlining work scopes and estimating project schedules and costs.
  • Manage all aspects of projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Mining, Civil, or Geological Engineering is essential. Additionally, holding a Professional Engineer qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in operating mines and consulting would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, especially if you have experience with proposals, technical reports, and regulatory submissions.
