Effective Mine Planning requires a strategic approach to ensure efficient execution of plans and schedules.
Job RoleThe Mine Scheduling Lead is responsible for providing design, scheduling and execution direction to the execution team for up to 12 weeks. This technical role involves developing effective working relationships with operational and medium-term scheduling teams.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and communicating Truck & Shovel designs and schedules.
- Implementing Production Planning standards and processes.
- Participating in investigations of reported events and training for Production Planning.
- Identifying and implementing Production Planning improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring junior Mine Scheduling Specialists.
Applicants will have a tertiary education in Engineering (Mining/Civil) and previous experience in Mine Planning. Truck & Shovel planning experience is an advantage.
A solid working knowledge of Deswik and/or Vulcan, SPRY, and Microsoft Office packages is essential.
Our ideal candidate is skilled in collaboration, communication, and problem-solving, with a passion for driving business outcomes through mine planning.
