Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Leader to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) business groups within Northern Trust Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Fund Accounting (unit pricing) business groups, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work.
- Conduct performance management and career development processes, providing input for staffing and disciplinary actions.
- Develop periodic goals, organize work, set short-term priorities, and monitor all activities.
- Provide input and support to budget management process, maintaining risk management and compliance programs and activities for assigned group.
- Operate independently, with in-depth knowledge of business unit / function.
Your Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of Australia Fund Accounting operational processes, business controls, and technical system specifics.
- Excellent internal and client relationship management skills.
- Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine unit goals and resources needed, assess and develop staff skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Experience:
- Leads through subordinate managers; contributes to functional/operational long-term strategy and aids in annual business plans.
- Post-qualification experience in increasingly senior roles.
- Effective communicator with ability to articulate engage with various internal and client stakeholders.
- Well-developed management and leadership skills.
- Coaching and counseling skills.
