Asset Manager Associate Role Summary

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Asset Manager Associate to join our dynamic team at AXA IM Alts – Real Estate.

About the Role

As an Asset Manager Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the Asset Management Team in the management and value creation of our Australian property portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Senior Asset Managers in defining and implementing asset strategies and annual business plans, ensuring alignment with investors' objectives.
  • Monitoring and analyzing commercial leasing deals, conducting internal valuation analysis, and maintaining financial models (DCF, valuation, and other commercial models).
  • Regularly interacting and presenting to key stakeholders, including Fund Managers, Senior Asset Managers, and Investment Committee.
  • Implementing asset-level ESG action plans and identifying opportunities to enhance ESG-related performance.
  • Collaborating with property managers to achieve asset-level KPIs, ensuring adherence to best management practices, and resolving any disputes.

About You

We welcome candidates with a strong background in real estate and finance, preferably with experience in asset management, property analysis, or a related field. Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or real estate (or equivalent).
  • API or RICS Certification is preferred but not a pre-condition.
  • 3-8 years of experience in the real estate sector, preferably in asset management or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in real estate in an asset & investment manager, property company, letting or investment agent, or professional advisory firm in the real estate industry.
  • Good knowledge of the local real estate market.
  • Understanding of financial techniques and experience in property analytics related to real estate investments.
