The position of Chief Mathematics Academic Leader is a key opportunity for a visionary educator to lead and develop high-quality teaching programs for students aged 7-10 and 11-12.

This role requires an exceptional leader with expertise in curriculum development, pedagogy, and classroom practice. The successful candidate will oversee the mathematics department and design inclusive educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for building and managing the capacity of teachers to improve their teaching, learning, and classroom practice. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with staff, parents, and students through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching programs for students aged 7-10 and 11-12
  • Lead and develop the capacity of teachers to improve their teaching, learning, and classroom practice
  • Design and implement inclusive educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Maintain relationships with staff, parents, and students through effective communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
  • Approval to teach Mathematics (7-10), Mathematics (11-12), and Mathematics Extension
  • Proven experience in leading whole-school programs and explicit teaching models
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on developing a culture of consistency and high expectations
Conditions

A full approval to teach in NSW is required. If not already approved, applicants must commence the application process concurrently with their job application.
