The Leader of Learning and Teaching: STEM leads from Year 7 to Year 12 and works in collaboration with the Deputy Head: Student Achievement EL-12+, Curriculum Lead K-12, Head of Senior School and Head of Middle School to deliver an authentic, professional Catholic education with care and compassion. The Leader of Learning and Teaching: STEM is a Middle Leader who pursues and is inspired by our Bishop's Vision in their daily work. The Leader of Learning and Teaching: STEM leads the combined faculties of Science and Mathematics.

Specific Criteria

  • Be suitably qualified to teach and lead STEM
  • Have experience in leading and managing staff.
  • Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the College.
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
  • Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.
  • Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
  • Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Promote and understand the importance of assessment practice, data analysis and feedback to enhance learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning

Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
