About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Robert Walters Australia. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of our finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring roles and responsibilities align with their capabilities
  • Identify and drive process efficiencies to improve the effectiveness of our finance function
  • Provide detailed financial input into ongoing planning and reporting activities
  • Take active ownership of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to all management levels
  • Handle key operational responsibilities such as residential subsidy billing, investment management, bond/RAD reporting, and month-end completion
Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Previous experience in both residential and community aged care sectors
  • Proven experience managing a team of finance staff
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian accounting standards and Australian NFP tax compliance requirements
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in time and attendance data management, payroll or other client management systems
  • High attention to detail, hands-on approach, and ability to adapt quickly to new processes in a changing environment
