Financial Controller Position

Michael Page Australia is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's team in Western Sydney. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a crucial role in leading the finance team and supporting the business during a period of growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making and drive growth.
  • Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax and audit preparation.
  • Business partnering with operations to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Support the development of the annual budget and long-term financial planning.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team.

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified with previous experience working in a similar hands-on Financial Controller position within the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional operational teams.
  • Previous ERP experience and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience in small-to-medium-sized businesses is an advantage.
