Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in regional physical oceanography.

The successful candidate will contribute to the leadership of the NSW-IMOS oceanographic moorings sub-facility, develop oceanographic data products, process and disseminate large geophysical datasets, and work closely with researchers to advance our understanding of the East Australian Current and the dynamics of the continental shelf circulation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in physical oceanography or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to critically assess oceanographic data.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including Matlab, Python, and NetCDF, as well as experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
