Coastal Oceanographic Data Scientist

Establish a strong presence in the field of coastal and regional oceanography by contributing to the leadership of an esteemed oceanographic moorings sub-facility.
About the Role:- Provide strategic guidance to advance the development of oceanographic data products, including climatologies, statistics, and trends.
- Oversee the processing, quality control, dissemination, and real-time display of critical geophysical data.
- Possess a PhD or equivalent experience in physical oceanography or a related field, with a proven track record of analyzing and critically assessing oceanographic data, including QA/QC.
- Demonstrate expertise in working with large datasets, leveraging programming skills in languages such as Matlab or Python, and proficiency in NetCDF.
- Exhibit exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Showcase a talent for writing high-quality scientific reports and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner.
- Display strong leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and teamwork within a dynamic research environment.
