The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of facilities services and building operations across the ANU campus. They will work closely with the Building Operations Supervisor and Manager to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist trade staff in carrying out minor repairs and maintenance across all ANU facilities as directed.
  • Carry out assigned statutory, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks, including inspections of plant rooms and switch rooms, light tube changing, and soft facilities management services across Halls of Residence.
  • Operate a range of equipment in a safe manner, including EWP and forklifts, and maintain competency and required licenses.
Team Collaboration

The Maintenance Officer will engage and work with other University staff, internal and external to the Division, across all ANU facilities and other external stakeholders and contractors as required. They will establish and maintain effective working relationships to support and enable the successful provision of University maintenance services.

Working Environment

The Maintenance Officer works within the Operations Portfolio and is responsible for supporting the delivery of facilities services and building operations across the ANU Acton campus and remote sites. The team comprises a wide range of staff delivering maintenance services to the University.
