This role involves taking a hands-on leadership position on the job site, ensuring efficient progress and prioritizing work tasks based on needs communicated by management.

Job Duties:
  • Heavy equipment operation including track hoes, backhoes, and rental equipment scheduling.
  • Directing projects involving piping installation and tank construction.
  • Communicating project requirements to the Installation Manager for timely completion in a safe and profitable manner.
  • Coordinating with customers or their representatives regarding site requirements or issues.
  • Ability to interpret applicable plans, specifications, environmental regulations, fire codes, and building codes for enforcement on the site.
  • Attending meetings as required: pre-construction meetings, safety meetings, and training sessions directed by the Installation Manager.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records of job progress, tests, inspections, visitors, and potential schedule disruptions.
  • Leading by example through punctual reporting and adherence to uniform standards.
  • Supervising crew activities and planning for the next day's operations.
  • Fostering crew development through training opportunities to increase member responsibilities.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to mandatory safety protocols:
    • Identifying potential hazards and rectifying situations.
    • Requiring proper personal protective equipment usage among crew members and subcontractors.
    • Holding regular job-site safety meetings.
  • Maintaining a positive company image through:
    • Cleanliness and adherence to company policy for personal appearance.
    • Vehicles kept clean and orderly.
    • A well-organized and hazard-free job site.
    • Maintenance of job site signs and cleanliness.
    • Courteous and professional conduct from all crew members.
  • Maintaining vehicles according to departmental preventive maintenance policies and ensuring safe operation practices.
  • Work may involve extended hours.
  • Ability to operate in various weather conditions, with significant outdoor work exposure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-60% of the time.
