Rehabilitation Psychologist Role

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation support to clients with psychological or physical injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients with psychological or physical injuries, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support and services.
  • Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct thorough assessments and identify suitable goals for clients, working closely with stakeholders to develop effective intervention plans.
  • Intervention Planning: Collaborate with medical professionals and other stakeholders to identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work, and organize appropriate interventions to facilitate their safe and timely return.
  • Vocational Counselling: Provide vocational counselling and conduct vocational assessments for clients, helping them to achieve their career goals and aspirations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with medical professionals, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring seamless collaboration and a high level of client satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: A 4th-year Psychology Graduate status is essential for this role.
  • Certification: Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor is required (Graduates with an honours degree in Psychology are eligible).
  • Licence: Registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist is mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
