About This Role

The Enrolled Nurse is a pivotal member of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care that reflects current standards and policies. This includes practicing within the scope of your practice as defined by NSW Health policy directive and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care that prioritizes patient safety and well-being, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve positive outcomes;
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery;
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner, adhering to NSW Health's IRM policy;
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care plans, ensuring continuity of care and seamless transitions between services;
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with current clinical practices, research, and evidence-based guidelines;
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues, using clear, concise language and adopting a respectful approach at all times;

Requirements:

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with experience in relevant clinical settings preferred. Possess sound knowledge and skills in areas such as medication management, wound care, and respiratory therapy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
