Employment Relations Specialist

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of employment, discrimination and industrial relations matters across various sectors.

About the Role
  • This is an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious lawyer or associate with 2-4 years post-admission legal experience who has a passion for employment and industrial relations matters.
  • The successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to be mentored by experienced partners whilst working on complex employment matters alongside a collaborative team and with significant direct client contact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a broad range of employment, discrimination and industrial relations matters across various sectors.
  • Draft court documents and affidavits, and provide concise and commercial advice to clients.
  • Manage your own time, work autonomously, and at times work to tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent attention to detail, a team player mentality, and a supportive and collaborative working style.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years post-admission legal experience working on employment and industrial relations matters.
  • Experience in litigation in a variety of courts or tribunals.
  • Strong drafting skills, good knowledge of civil procedure, and excellent writing skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law and discrimination law obtained through either academic study or practical experience.
  • Capability to effectively manage your own time, work autonomously, and at times work to tight deadlines.
