Workforce Manager Job Description

We are seeking a strategic workforce planning expert to lead our team and ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.

This role requires someone who thrives on making things work better, sees the big picture and wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing a long-term workforce supply plan that supports future growth and development.
  • Overseeing forward rostering practices to maximise efficiency and reduce travel time.
  • Collaborating with teams to forecast demand and ensure readiness for new initiatives.
  • Monitoring key performance metrics and using data to inform decision-making.
  • Leading initiatives to continuously improve service delivery and align with organisational strategy.
  • Embedding best practices and fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful working environment.
  • Coaching, developing and resourcing your team to deliver exceptional results and grow in their roles.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to turn strategic goals into tactical plans.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to keep ahead of the curve.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years' experience in workforce planning with strong leadership and strategic skills.
  • A solid background in managing large, dynamic workforces ideally in community or aged care.
  • Demonstrated experience in rostering/scheduling and improving workforce efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A knack for bringing people together and leading through influence.
  • A strong understanding of the sector and its challenges.
