Head Chef Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to join our team in Victoria. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the production of food in our hotel and restaurant.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a strong work ethic, and excellent leadership skills. They will effectively manage and coordinate the production of food, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise kitchen staff to ensure a high level of productivity and service standard.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of prepared food items.
  • Manage kitchen activities, including food storage, preparation, and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with other departments to maintain efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in a similar style Japanese restaurant.
  • Skill set: Sushi sashimi (base) master.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
