Senior Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

  1. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a high-end resort or hotel environment, with a strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and menu planning.
  2. They will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide their team members to achieve exceptional results.

A key aspect of this role is to work collaboratively with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and implement new menus, and to maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all aspects of the kitchen.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Sous Chef will be required to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, stock rotation, cleaning, and hygiene procedures. They will also be responsible for training and developing junior staff members, and for implementing cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources.

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on providing memorable dining experiences for our guests. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

What You'll Need To Be Successful
  • Experience working in a 4-5 star resort/hotel or Conference and Events environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of all food items and base cooking techniques including sauces, cold larder, vegetables, and butchery.
  • Strong knowledge of stock rotation, cleaning, and hygiene procedures.
  • Knowledge of planning, financial processes such as cost control.
  • Strong understanding of staff management practices including rewarding, training, appraising, counseling, and staff development.
  • The flexibility to work across a 7-day roster including weekends and peak holiday periods.
