Job Opportunity

The role of a Research Grants Specialist involves managing research grants from inception to award, ensuring timely submission and administration of high-quality applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating research grant activities, guaranteeing compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and university policies.
  • Providing expert advice on research funding opportunities, policies, and procedures to researchers and academic staff.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with funding agencies, universities, and research institutions.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Expertise in research grant administration, particularly pre-award research grant administration, at scale, in an Australian university research office or similar environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the interpretation of complex grant scheme requirements, as well as policy, compliance, legislative and regulatory documents.
