Expert Data Center Engineer Needed

Job Title: Expert Data Center Engineer

Project Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced data center engineer to oversee the setup and deployment of two new data centers. This is a high-stakes project that requires a deep understanding of complex network protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate connections between two new data centers using Cisco Nexus 9K switches.
  • Configure routing, multicast, spanning tree, and interfaces across both data centers.
  • Leverage Cisco NDFC for provisioning and configuring the network.
  • Implement VXLAN/EVPN and other complex network protocols for optimal operation of the data center.
  • Work directly with the customer to assess existing infrastructure and guide the project from start to finish.
  • Run the project autonomously following the agreed-upon Method of Procedure (MOP).
  • Collaborate with senior architect, engineers, and team members to roll out and validate the deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Deep expertise in Cisco Nexus switches (Nexus 9K), VXLAN/EVPN, and NDFC.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience with data center design and implementation in multisite environments.
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus and configuring them in data center environments.
