This role oversees the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of salaries, superannuation, allowances, expenses, and other payments. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and submitting payroll bank files, developing and implementing work methods to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, and actively monitoring changes in laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will lead a large team of payroll professionals, providing guidance on procedures and processes, and ensuring adherence to time constraints. They will also develop mechanisms for resolving grievances or disputes quickly and maintain confidentiality regarding employee records.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurate and timely delivery of payroll services
- Sign off and hold accountability for payroll bank file preparation and submission
- Develop and implement work methods and techniques to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Actively monitor legislative changes and implement updates in a timely manner
- Minimum 10+ years in payroll, with 5+ at Manager level or above
- Proven experience leading large and complex payroll teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage tight timelines
- Proven ability to manage in a fast-paced environment
