About the Role
AO4 Finance Officer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced AO4 Finance Officer to support the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project, a key initiative in Queensland's rail network. This role will ensure high standards of financial operations and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver financial and project support activities to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Process invoices, update purchase requisitions post-procurement activities for goods and services.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial registers using Microsoft Office and other relevant systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist with month-end financial tasks, including accruals, general journals, and other duties as directed by the Principal Advisor (Finance).
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, managing competing priorities while maintaining effective governance.

About You

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced project environment, ideally within public sector financial operations.
  • Knowledge of various software packages supporting project financials, including 3PCM and SAP, would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance in financial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
