About the Role

As the Financial Operations Specialist, you'll manage costs for five key projects, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with our contract framework. Reporting to the CFO, you'll work closely with Finance Managers (East and West Coast), the broader finance team, and commercial stakeholders to monitor and analyse project costs, ensuring accurate month-end reporting and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor project costs for up to five critical contracts.
  • Collaborate with Finance Managers and project teams to ensure accurate allocation and tracking of costs.
  • Verify costs against contract requirements, ensuring all incurred costs are accurately claimed and invoiced monthly.
  • Assist with month-end processes to ensure project financials reflect actual performance.
  • Liaise with commercial teams and managers to maintain accuracy and accountability.
  • Utilise MYOB (with a future transition to NetSuite) to manage financial data and reporting.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in finance systems such as MYOB, NetSuite or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with finance, project, and commercial teams.
  • Experience working within a contract framework is highly desirable.
