Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Logistics and Allocations Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across our Victorian asphalt business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of contractors and fleet owners who deliver asphalt to internal and external customers.
- Secure a suitable portfolio of external tippers/carters to meet DIFOT requirements for all asphalt deliveries.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the Tipper business to optimize fleet utilization and source extra capacity.
- Lead a team of Resource Schedulers to take orders from customers, plan, book, and allocate appropriate capacity.
- Develop and implement a compliance program for heavy vehicles, including Chain of Responsibility.
- Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility experience.
- Transport Allocations/customer service expertise.
- Carter Management skills (T&Cs, Onboarding, Breach Management).
- Ability to build a portfolio of subcontract carters.
- B2B Supply Chain Logistics experience.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Extensive knowledge of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility, and relevant Health & Safety regulations.
- A competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
