Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our well-respected team. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention approaches and strategies that are holistic, client-centered, and outcome-driven.
- Write comprehensive behaviour support plans and deliver behaviour supports that meet the individual's needs in line with Disability Services Standards, NDIS, and other relevant legislative requirements.
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and identify restrictive practices.
- Utilize a range of assessment tools and techniques to support clients and stakeholders in developing and reviewing support plans.
- Advocate for clients, their carers, and families to enable choice and decision-making that supports independence and quality of life.
- Assessed as proficient, advanced, or specialist practitioner by the NDIS Commission against the PBS Capability Framework.
- Experience in positive behaviour support, applied behaviour analysis, or a related field.
- Driver's license and registered vehicle.
- NDIS Workers Disability Check and/or Working with Children Check.
- National police check, WWCC, and a driver's license.
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption.
- Passion for working with people with disabilities and the ability to develop and deliver therapy-based programs and assessments.
