Rehabilitation Program Coordinator

This role is an exciting opportunity to reduce reoffending in inmates' lives. As a Rehabilitation Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial part in delivering criminogenic programs designed to support positive change.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering therapeutic and criminogenic programs based on Offense-Related Program (ORP) objectives
  • Evaluating inmate suitability and maintaining accurate documentation of progress
  • Developing strategies to improve participant attendance while considering individual needs
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and participating in ongoing training and development
  • Promoting rehabilitation initiatives and contributing to reducing reoffending
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or related discipline, or relevant industry experience
  • A Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management) or completion within the first 24 months of employment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to prepare reports within required timeframes
  • Experience in group facilitation, ideally dealing with complex mental health or behavioural issues
