Freelance Delivery Specialist

This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong customer service focus and reliable transportation methods. As a contract courier driver, your primary responsibilities will include the timely and efficient delivery of parcels and packages throughout the local area.
You will be responsible for safely operating a delivery van to transport and deliver parcels and packages to customers, ensuring all deliveries are completed within agreed timelines. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers as needed, maintain accurate delivery records and documentation, adhere to all road rules and safety regulations, and assist with loading and unloading the delivery van as required.
- A current unrestricted driver's licence and mid to large van are mandatory
- Personal ACN and insurances are also necessary
- The ideal candidate should have full working rights in Australia, a current Police check or be willing to obtain one, availability to work 5 days a week (Mon-Fri), strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour, excellent time management and organisational abilities, knowledge of the local area and previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar delivery role
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Operations: Safely operate a delivery van to transport and deliver parcels and packages to customers
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers as needed
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all road rules and safety regulations
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Licenses and Certifications: Current unrestricted driver's licence and personal ACN
- Experience and Education: Previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar delivery role, and knowledge of the local area
- Personal Qualities: Strong customer service skills, friendly and professional demeanour, excellent time management and organisational abilities
