About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the work of our pastry team, ensuring high-quality and consistency in all pastry and dessert preparation. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative menu designs for pastry creations in our restaurant, bar, executive lounge, in-room dining, and banquet operations.
  • Coordinate food preparation for the pastry section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and effective production.
  • Prepare and present all food related to the pastry section of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage food safety and quality, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints related to pastry and dessert preparation.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience leading a pastry team in a high-quality, high-volume hotel operation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and engagement with your team.
  • Superior knowledge of pastry crafts and administration/management.
  • Proven ability to lead in a variety of situations, with operational and guest needs in mind.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
