Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and upgrading our network infrastructure systems and designs in a rapidly changing technological environment.

  • Contribute to incident and request management, proactive network monitoring, and contributing to network security strategies.
  • Utilise knowledge and experience to assist the Commission in driving network stability, support, and opportunities to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the infrastructure manager to manage network hardware lifecycles and contribute to research and selection of new hardware when replacing outdated or retired components.

Candidates will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training. They will also hold minimum CCNA certification, with CCNP and/or CCIE desirable.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing structured procedures and conducting routine installations and de-installations in enterprise environments.

Demonstrated experience with gateway technologies, including remote access and proxies, is essential. Experience with Cisco switches, ISE, and ASA's, as well as Fortinet products, is highly valued.

The position requires the ability to exercise initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policies and practices, producing concise technical systems documentation and knowledge artefacts supporting design and operational continuity.
