IT Infrastructure Specialist

The organization is seeking a skilled IT infrastructure specialist to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient networks.

Key responsibilities include analyzing current network systems, designing and developing network infrastructure, configuring hardware and software, and implementing security measures.

  • Perform thorough analyses of existing network systems, including capacity and performance assessments.
  • Design and develop comprehensive network infrastructure plans for LANs, WANs, cloud environments, and hybrid configurations.
  • Configure, install, and optimize network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches, and monitoring tools.
  • Develop and enforce robust security protocols, incorporating intrusion detection, encryption, and patch management best practices.
  • Monitor system integrity, identify and troubleshoot technical issues across enterprise systems, and implement resolutions.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems, focusing on backup procedures and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT architecture development, capacity planning, and system migrations.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures for compliance and continuity purposes.
  • Support lifecycle upgrades, including procurement, vendor evaluation, and deployment of new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in coding languages, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills to provide technical guidance and support.
