Our company is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team as a Network Infrastructure Specialist.

About the Role

As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, building and maintaining secure and efficient IT networks. You will work closely with technical stakeholders to analyze systems and deliver infrastructure improvements that drive innovation in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network architecture and infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Analyze and evaluate current network systems, capacity and performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches and monitoring tools.
  • Implement security measures, including intrusion detection, encryption protocols and patch management.
  • Monitor system integrity, troubleshoot and resolve technical faults across enterprise systems.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems, including backup procedures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT architecture, capacity planning and system migrations.
  • Document network configurations, diagrams and operational procedures for compliance and continuity.
  • Support lifecycle upgrades, including procurement, vendor evaluation and deployment of new technology.
  • Advise on technology strategy, integration and cost optimization initiatives for infrastructure environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least five years of relevant experience in systems/network engineering.
  • Strong coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple programming languages.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance and support.
