Job Opportunity:

A dynamic and experienced Perioperative Services Manager is required to lead our perioperative department with their clinical skills, leadership capabilities, and positive approach to work. They will be responsible for providing high-quality and safe services, fostering collaborative relationships, leading the workforce, ensuring financial oversight, supporting policies, maintaining effective working relationships, overseeing resource management, providing clinical leadership, promoting Key Performance Indicators, and participating in accreditation and quality initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to developing in a management role, a commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work cohesively within a team environment and develop partnerships with Visiting Medical Officers.

About This Role:

  • Lead the perioperative department with vision and expertise

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Nursing
  • Minimum of 5 years senior nursing experience within the Perioperative unit
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong commitment to developing in a management role
  • A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment and develop partnerships with Visiting Medical Officers
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
  • Demonstrated HR management experience
  • Leadership and management qualification (or working towards)
