Perioperative Leadership Role

This position offers a rare opportunity to develop skills and grow within a supportive leadership team in a high-acuity surgical site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the CSSD Department, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to the operational management of the CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area.
  • Act as an advocate for our Quality Management System.
  • Support team members to achieve streamlined operational management.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a senior role within a CSSD environment.
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation from an accredited provider.
  • Hold Australian Work Rights.
  • Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and databases.
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care.
  • A focus on professional development.

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide a current National Police check, WWCC (if applicable), and proof of right to work in Australia prior to appointment.
  • Staff in patient contact roles are also required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
