CSSD Manager

This is a challenging and dynamic opportunity to join our perioperative leadership team as a CSSD Manager in a high acuity surgical site.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and grow within our supportive perioperative leadership team.

  • Operational management of the CSSD Department
  • Advocate for Quality Management System and promote safe work environment
  • Support team to achieve streamlined operational management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership and Operational Management

The CSSD Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the CSSD Department, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

Quality Management

The successful candidate will act as an advocate for our Quality Management System, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.

Team Support

The CSSD Manager will support their team to achieve streamlined operational management, providing guidance and expertise as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

The minimum requirements for this position include:

  • 4-5 years' experience in a senior role within a CSSD environment
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation from an accredited provider
  • Australian Work Rights
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 and HICMR
  • Leadership ability and teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and databases
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care and professional development
