We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, and possess strong communication skills.
About the PositionThis is a casual position that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will work with Keyworkers to provide personalized supports to children and their carers, assisting in alternate placements outside of residential care.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to the emotional and functional needs of young people.
- Develop personal skills and administer requirements.
- Provide practical assistance relating to the young person.
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Families or other similar qualification.
- Valid and current driver's license, workers with children check, NDIS worker screening check, and satisfactory criminal history check.
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children and families.
- Competitive hourly rate based on SCHADS Award Level 2 and 3, depending on qualification and experience.
