Job Overview

This role involves taking ownership of PLC and automation control systems to ensure equipment reliability across the site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting production, quality, and spoilage reduction goals, while leading capital projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant Electrical Trade Certificate, and 2–5 years of hands-on experience with a strong ability to work with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Manage industrial automation systems – PLCs (AB, Omron), SCADA (Ignition).
  • Respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory and procurement of control system supplies.
  • Install and commission new equipment and systems.
  • Develop business cases and capital project proposals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience, with a strong ability to work with others.
  • A strong background in PLC and automation programming.
