Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining control systems to ensure equipment reliability across the site.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting production, quality, and spoilage reduction goals, while leading capital projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Automation Management: Manage site industrial automation systems, including PLCs (AB, Omron) and SCADA (Ignition).
- Breakdown Response: Develop and implement procedures for responding to equipment breakdowns and coordinating corrective actions.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of control system supplies and manage inventory levels to ensure efficient operations.
- Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission new equipment and systems to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Project Development: Develop business cases and capital project proposals to drive growth and innovation within the organization.
- Educational Background: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a relevant Electrical Trade Certificate is required.
- Professional Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, with a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in PLC and automation programming, with experience working with AB and Omron PLCs and Ignition SCADA software.
