Project Engineer Role Overview

This is a key opportunity to join our team as a senior project engineer, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with subcontractors to ensure job construction meets technical, quality and customer requirements.
  • Ensuring survey of installations throughout the project is conducted professionally, with results reviewed and accepted as correct.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with compliance to documentation required under the management system.
  • Liaising with Construction Manager to ensure job is on schedule.
  • Providing a focal point for all technical based queries for associated civil/structural subcontractors and suppliers.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced engineer who can provide engineering advice to subcontractors/suppliers and assist the Project Manager in preparation of monthly reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Civil Engineering Qualification (Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised).
  • Significant engineering experience in design, construction and commissioning, ideally on Brownfields and Greenfields projects.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian standards, codes and environmental regulations.
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
